For Australian FH and Lp(a) Specialists
MISSION
Pocket Atlas of FH for NURSES
COMING SOON!
Most people need to manage their cholesterol. If you have Familial Hypercholesterolaemia (FH) the deck is stacked against you as your genetics work to flood your bloodstream with bad cholesterol that if left untreated may shorten your life.
From what we know about treating FH we can use this information to assist patients with problems managing their lipids and simultaneously reducing their risk of heart attack and stroke.
This little Pocket Atlas provides a guide for nurses, the tools to aid identification, diagnosis and treatment of FH and a pathway to specialist referral for these patients with FH. This atlas is easy to carry and read, and provides a short and practical guide to FH assessment that can be incorporated as part of your working day.
Nurses and other Health professionals are pivotal in identifying individuals who are at risk of having FH.
